More "We Time" is needed

More “We Time” is needed – since all the discussion on the great resignation and burn out acceleration during covid times I do experience that too much advice is going after self- care and spending even more time in lonely places exercising mental health activities.
However, in a world where hybrid working models are dominated by home office time, entering empty office spaces, and rarely meeting peers and colleagues in the office, it is better to actively manage more time together with the team. Being even more in isolation typically does not help to find inspiration, engagement, role models or team spirit. It was Harvard Business Review early this year who launched an article about “loneliest workers”. They found that the lack of collaboration and workplace social support had negative business outcomes. Without surprise it has been stated that if you bring people together, it increases job satisfaction and reduces burnout.
In our offsite location we used the summertime to actively leverage our newly configured outdoor space for team engagement in the middle of nature. The setting is an old farm garden where you find equipment from slack line to boule place enriched with lots of cosy places to relax together with the team.
Collaboration, connection with others and the chance to renew team relationships after being in isolation for almost 3 years is the mantra for new work. What would be better than to accelerate this with regular offsites and help people connecting the dots again. Balancing and self-care seems to be better to do it together in teams instead of increasing individual time out. That’s why we redefined offsite and created a place which enables more “We Time” in nature, with fun and together. Look for a short impression.
